PARINGIN (TABIRkota) – The Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan, will immediately launch an Android-based Digital Population Identity (IKD) application.
In accordance with the instruction of the Ministry of Home Affairs through the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration, each local government is required to implement the IKD in their respective regions.
For this reason, the Balangan Regencial Government will also carry out this instruction, starting with the launch of the IKD mobile app.
Head of the Balangan Regency’s Population and Civil Registration Office, Hifziani said, the plan to launch the IKD app in Balangan is a form of implementing the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 72 of 2022 concerning Standards and Specifications for Hardware, Software, and Electronic Identity Card Forms, and Implementation of Digital Citizen Identity.
“We are still waiting for directions from the Regent of Balangan (H Abdul Hadi) regarding the day and date of the IKD application launching. Technically we are ready though,” Hifziani explained, Monday (March 6, 2023) in Paringin.
The Population and Civil Registration Office, Hifziani said, sets a target of at least 50 percent of the Balangan population to use the IKD mobile app in 2023.
In addition to the digital ID Card (KTP), the IKD application itself will contain other digital documents, including family data, digital KTP with a QR code, child identity card (KIA), documents resulting from the integration of the National Identity Number (NIK) such as vaccine certificates, Mandatory Identification Numbers Taxes (NPWP), the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS), and several other documents.
“We will also work door-to-door to introduce the IKD application and assist every resident in using it,” Hifziani said.(sah)
