Aircraft Movements at Syamsudin Noor Increases 174 Percent during Eid al-Fitr

BANJARBARU (TABIRkota) – Within 16 days of the 2022 Idul Fitri (1443 Hijri) holiday season, aircraft movements at Syamsudin Noor International Airport, Banjarbaru increases by 174 percent compared to the previous year.

Syamsudin Noor is the busiest airport in the province of South Kalimantan.

Dony Subardono, General Manager of Syamsudin Noor International Airport, told reporters on Thursday that aircraft movements during the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holiday are recorded at 1,048 times, an increase from 383 aircraft movements during the 2021 Eid al-Fitr holiday.

This year’s Eid al-Fitr holiday season, Syamsudin Noor International Airport enforces operating hours from 6 am to 10 pm.

During the 16 days of the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holiday, the number of passengers at Syamsudin Noor International Airport was recorded at 123,723 people, consisting of 71,058 departing passengers and 52,665 arriving passengers.

The number of passengers increases by 339 percent compared to the number of passengers on the 2021 Eid al-Fitr holiday. (sahrudin)
