
PARINGIN (TABIRkota) – Joint team from Banjarmasin SAR (Search and Rescue) Office, Balangan Regency BPBD (Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency) and other rescue organizations, until Sunday (April 17, 2022), has not found the body of Taupik Rahman who was suspected drowning and drifting in River Balangan.
Taupik is a resident of Kupang Village RT 01, Lampihong Sub-District of Balangan Regency.
The 37-year-old man was reportedly slipped and then drifted into River Balangan early Saturday morning.

It is suspected that he slipped on the edge of the river when he was about to go to the floating toilet on the river.
On the first day of the search, the joint rescue team which was commanded by Banjarmasin SAR Office, divided the team into three SRU (Search and Rescue Units).
The first unit carried out a search downstream of River Balangan.
The second unit conducted a search towards the upstream of the river.
The third unit attempted to find Taupik’s body through land along River Balangan.
“Until Saturday evening, we haven’t been able to find Taupik Rahman’s body,” Al Amrad, Head of Banjarmasin SAR Office said.
Rescue team continued their search on Sunday morning until evening.
Just like the first day, the search efforts carried out by the joint rescue team have yet to bear fruit.
The search for Taupik Rahman’s body will continue on Monday morning.
The rescue team, however, hopes to find Taupik Hidayat’s body during tomorrow’s search. (ra)
