JAKARTA (TABIRkota) – Indonesia’s new, low-cost carrier Super Air Jet will start flight routes to Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan and Samarinda, East Kalimantan next week.
The airline, which has been operating since March 2021, will serve the new Jakarta-Banjarmasin-Jakarta, and Surabaya-Samarinda-Surabaya routes every day, starting Friday, April 22, 2022.
Especially for the Surabaya-Samarinda flight and the opposite route, it is even scheduled twice a day.
The following are the details of Super Air Jet flights for Banjarmasin and Samarinda routes:
JAKARTA-BANJARMASIN
Departure/arrival: Terminal 1A Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) and Syamsudin Noor International Airport Banjarmasin in Banjarbaru (BDJ).
Frequency: one flight per day.
Ticket prices: starting from IDR/Rp 847,900 (Jakarta-Banjarmasin) and starting from Rp 1,070,500 (Banjarmasin-Jakarta).
SURABAYA-SAMARINDA
Departure/arrival: Juanda International Airport Surabaya in Sidoarjo (SUB) and Aji Prince Tumenggung Airport (APT) Pranoto Samarinda (AAP).
Frequency: two flights per day.
Ticket prices: starting from Rp 578,900 (Surabaya-Samarinda) and starting from Rp 507,900 (Samarinda-Surabaya).
Unfortunately, Super Air Jet has not informed the schedule or time for the departure or arrival of the new flight routes.
Super Air Jet is a new airline founded by Lion Air’s boss, Rusdi Kirana.
The airline has flight codes “IU” from IATA (International Air Transport Association) and “SJV” from ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).
The main focus of the airline is to offer a low-cost concept with direct intercity flights on a point-to-point basis in the domestic market.
It is possible that in the future Super Air Jet will also expand to international routes.
Since its first flight in March last year, the airline has operated a fleet of the latest generation Airbus 320-200 with a capacity of 180 economy class seats.
Super Air Jet targets prospective passengers from among young people, who need cheap flights for business to tourism purposes.
One of the things that makes Super Air Jet look different from other airlines, is that the uniforms worn by its flight attendants.
If cabin attendants of other airlines mostly wear miniskirts, Super Air Jet’s flight attendants look so elegant in their beige uniforms.(sah)
