Introducing SIFORESTIKA, South Kalimantan’s Forestry Mobile App

BANJARBARU (TABIRkota) – Governor of South Kalimantan, Sahbirin Noor on Friday (January 21, 2022) in Banjarbaru, inaugurated a mobile application which is called SIFORESTIKA.

This mobile app is a South Kalimantan’s forestry information system.

The WebGIS and e-commerce-based application was created by the South Kalimantan Forest Service.

Sahbirin Noor, who is familiarly called Uncle Birin, expressed his appreciation for the creation of the mobile app.

“The application is a form of the innovation and creativity of South Kalimantan Forest Service,” Uncle Birin said.

Acting Head of South Kalimantan Forest Service, Fatimatuzzahra, said, SIFORESTIKA contains various regulations on forestry, information on both timber and non-timber forest products, environmental services, information on supply of tree seeds, and tree seed certification services.

At the same time, Uncle Birin also inaugurated the Market Gallery for the HHBK (NTFPs, Non-Timber Forest Products).

South Kalimantan Forest Service has opened 10 HHBK Market Galleries, one in Banjarmasin and another nine which are located in different districts. (sahrudin)
