PARINGIN (TABIRkota) – The government of Balangan Regency has received CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds from coal mining company PT Saptaindra Sejati (SIS) with a total of more than IDR 1.2 billion.
Deputy Regent of Balangan, Supiani on Thursday (6 January 2022) symbolically received the CSR funds at his office in Paringin.
“We are very grateful for PT SIS’s CSR funding assistance. We use the funds to establish and improve many sectors in this regency,” Mr Supiani explained.
One of Balangan’s villages that has benefited from the CSR funds is Murung Ilung Village in Paringin Subdistrict.
Residents of Murung Ilung use the financial assistance to start a water refilling station business.
The village has got a share of Rp 75 million of the total of CSR funds obtained by Balangan regencial government.
The water refilling station is considered useful in facilitating residents of Murung Ilung and the surrounding villages in obtaining drinking water in a more practical way. (sahrudin)
