KANDANGAN (TABIRkota) – Tagana (Disaster Preparedness and Response Unit) of HSS (Hulu Sungai Selatan) Regency has been working together with other organizations and community groups, renovating at least four homes devastated by recent flooding, starting from Wednesday (December 9, 2021).
Fathurrahman, a member of HSS Tagana, said, the four homeowners whose houses were damaged due to the floods are Supiani (31), Nurlina (56), Hamsan (23) and Hamlan (29).
“All of them are residents of Lungau Village of Kandangan Subdistrict. Their homes have been hit by overnight flooding out of River Amandit flowing near the village”, he explained.
HSS regencial government through its Housing and Environment Agency (Dispera KPLH) has covered the cost of the works, including provided the materials needed.
Kandangan Police officers and military personnel also take part in this voluntary action, rebuilding residents’ homes damaged by flood. (sahrudin/RA)
