AMUNTAI (TABIRkota) – Indonesia’s anti-corruption agency KPK is continuing the investigation in a graft case involving Regent of South Kalimantan’s HSU (Hulu Sungai Utara), with his initials AW.
A woman, official of Pambalah Batung Hospital with her initials DS, is scheduled to undergo questioning as a witness this morning, Thursday (November 25, 2021).
KPK has sent a summons to Ms DS who is currently Staff Sub-division Head of the state-owned regional hospital.
Ms DS, who is believed of having special relationship with AW, wil be questioned by the KPK at HSU Police precinct office in Amuntai.
Last week, the anti-corruption agency’s investigators also had questioned a woman with her initials RI.
Ms RI, who used to be a contract employee of Pambalah Batung Hospital from 2013 to 2016, is now a member of Tabalong Regency’s DPRD (regional legislative council).
Just as DS, Ms RI is also supposed of sharing special connection with AW.
Some of KPK examiners will continue the process of investigation in HSU Regency until November 28.
AW himself would remain in the KPK’s detention in Jakarta until Desember 7, 2021 in order to facilitate the investigation.
The accusations of his involvement in the corruption of Rp 18.9 billion from allocating government jobs through paying bribes and goods and services procurement, are supposed to have happened from 2019 to 2021.
The graft scandals have already led to the convictions of at least a government official, Caretaker Head of HSU’S PUPR (Public Works and Housing Agency), and implicated two businesspeople. (sahrudin)
