TANJUNG (TABIRkota) – Coal mining company PT Adaro Indonesia donated Rp 500 million in the form of three-layer surgical masks to Regencial Government of Tabalong, Tuesday (November 9, 2021).
For the first stage, Adaro distributed 19,047 masks made by 13 SMEs (small and medium enterprises) which are partners of PT Adaro Indonesia.
Leny Marlina, Head of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Department of PT Adaro Indonesia, handed over the face masks to Regent of Tabalong, Anang Syakhfiani, at the Pendopo (regencial govt hall) Bersinar, in Tanjung.
Ms Marlina said, soon after the first stage, PT Adaro will also give another surgical face masks to Tabalong govt in the second and the third stages.
“In the last two stages, we will distribute 30 thousand face masks made by another 28 SMEs”, she spoke.
PT Adaro Indonesia, Ms Marlina continued, decided to cooperate with local SMEs in the surgical masks procurement, with the purpose of supporting them during the last two difficult years.
“The SMEs have been so hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. Many of these businesses have either gone bankrupt or are on the fringes of becoming bankrupt. And we are here to support them”, she explained.
In addition to face masks, PT Adaro Indonesia also donated 13 different types of drugs, each with 1,000 drugs, to Usman Dundrung Hospital in Tanjung. (sahrudin)
