MARABAHAN (TABIRkota) – Barito Kuala Regency was selected as the host city of the 2021 BUMDesa (village-owned businesses) Expo.
The expo was held in Banjarmasin’s BPPMDDT (Training and Empowerment Agency for Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration) office on Jalan Handil Bakti Km 9.5, Alalak Subdistrict of Barito Kuala, Saturday (November 13).
There were 32 BUMDesa from villages of South Kalimantan which participated in the event.

The 2021 BUMDesa Expo was a program of BPSDM DDTT (Human Resources Development Agency – Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration).
Jajang Abdullah, Head of BPSDM DDTT said, the expo was aimed at promoting South Kalimantan’s BUMDesa and their new, local products to the wider public.
“It is also hoped that there will be partner programs between our BUMDesa and bigger companies, in order to create a wider range of job opportunities and to attract more investors”, he explained.
There were several partnership agreements between the province’s BUMDesa and companies and corporations during the expo.
BPSDM DDTT signed a memorandum of understanding with Lambung Mangkurat University of Banjarmasin.
BUMDesa Anugerah Jaya Nusa Indah signed agreements with poultry companies, PT Patriot and PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia.
At the same moment, a contract was also made between BUMDesa “Berkah Mulia” (from Bukit Mulia Village of Tanah Laut Regency) and coal mining company PT Arutmin Indonesia. (sahrudin)
