TANJUNG (TABIRkota) – PT Adaro Energy Tbk through a program called “Adaro Berjuang untuk Indonesia” (Adaro to Struggle for Indonesia) to hand out free Covid-19 vaccination to communities of five regencies in the province of South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.
The regencies are, Tabalong, Balangan, Hulu Sungai Utara, Barito Timur and Barito Selatan.
A total of 15 thousand vaccines will be delivered by end of this Oktober.
For Tabalong, Adaro will allocate 5,500 Covid-19 jabs for 10 locations (community health centers and hospitals); 4,500 for 21 locations in Balangan; 1,000 for seven locations in Hulu Sungai Utara; 2,500 vaccines for eight locations in Barito Selatan; and 1,500 vaccines for five locations in Barito Timur.
Tabalong and Barito Timur will be the first regencies to host vaccination sites, starting from October 24 to October 27, 2021.
Chief Executive Officer of PT Adaro Energy Tbk, Garibaldi Thohir said, the program becomes part of his company’s commitment to support the government in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We’ve been working together with the government, health officers, and communities. This is how we implement rapid response to the pandemic”, Mr Garibaldi stated, adding that Adaro also cooperates with a leading pharmaceutical industry, PT Kimia Farma Tbk for this vaccination program.
Before arranging this free Covid-19 jabs program, Adaro previously hosted vaccination sites for their thousands staff and employees and their families. (sah/RA)
